Playa Bastian complex is in the town of Costa Teguise about fifteen minutes from Arrecife airport. A taxi will set you back about 20 Euros.
The complex is a mixture of apartments and bungalows with swimming pools, gardens, a pool bar, a couple of restaurants on site, a taxi rank right outside and car hire shops. There are two supermarkets right outside, a couple of bars and several good restaurants.
The main part of the town is about ten minutes walk along a pretty paved coastal footpath where you will find all manner of shops, restaurants, bars and markets along with the main beach. There are facilities for scuba diving, wind surfing and other water sports. The fishing is excellent whether it be off the rocks or on a boat. Big game fishing such as marlin is available.
Just ten minutes away is a large water park and a nearby international golf course.
There are a variety of organised island coach trips which are recommended.
The artist Cesare Manrique has left an indelible print on the island in that the island's environment has been protected and preserved. There are several sites worth visiting that were created by him that will astound the visitor. Subterranean lakes and gardens, a theatre inside a lava cavern and his own home which is built inside lava bubbles.
The apartment has one bedroom with twin beds and a double sofabed in the living room. There is a fully fitted kitchen and a bathroom with shower. The balcony/terrace is large and very private overlooking the pool and gardens with views across the Atlantic.
The whole complex is quiet and private with the properties being owned as opposed to tourist company lets.
